Columbia Ballet School

Our Mission

Columbia Ballet School is committed to helping students develop technical skills, artistry, discipline, self-confidence, and respect for themselves and others. While these qualities are the basis for dance education, they also are critical to the development of the student as a person. Our ultimate goal is to support the development of healthy and happy people, and we do this through a partnership with the dancers and their parents.

About our Studio

The Columbia Ballet School was founded more than 40 years ago by Anita Ashley. The vigorous training program has helped dancers prepare for professional careers in the New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Cincinnati Ballet, Austin Ballet, Louisville Ballet, Nashville Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, and Royal Winnipeg Ballet. Other dancers have been successful on Broadway, as well as in theatre, video, and film. Many have been accepted into prestigious conservatories and artist-training schools.
